Kiggins / Nisbett Mines

This was a Lone Jewelhunter mission in early November to the Kiggins / Nisbett Mines near Timothy Lake on Mt Hood. The site is the closest subatantial mine site to portland that i know about. it is only about an hour and a half away.

These were Cinnabar mines and were operated during World War II.

I love doing that kind of stuff.
I looked for the cinnabar mines in Clackamas County once a couple of years ago, but never did find them.

I'm going to search again sometime soon , though.

Still had a good time climbing down hills into creeks.
